Simple Beef Barley Soup

  • Total Time: 50 minutes
  • Cook Time: 45 minutes
  • Prep Time: 10 minutes
  • Yields: 4 portions


  • 4 cups of beef stock
  • 1/3 cups of uncooked barley
  • 2 cups roughly of beef, diced or shredded
  • 1 large tomato, diced
  • 1 potato, diced
  • 1 carrot, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, diced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcester sauce


  1. Prepare ingredients adding to pot of stock, bring to a boil.
  2. Add salt and pepper to taste, simmer 45 minutes or until barley and beef is cooked.
  3. Cool and serve.
