Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 6 garlic cloves, crushed
- 155ml tomato paste, one can
- 8 cups tomatoes, chopped, canned works well
- 3 tablespoons dried parsley
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
Directions
- In large pot add oil and brown the onion over medium heat.
- Add remaining ingredients with fresh ground pepper and dried chili flakes to taste.
- Let simmer about one hour.
- Puree the sauce in a blender or food processor, in batches if need be.
- Serve.
Notes
- Makes plenty of sauce to be saved and used later.
